A fatal accident on a Quebec ski hill Saturday night - in an after-hours sleigh ride.

The Val St. Come ski center, 120 kilometres north of Montreal, had long closed for the day (it was almost midnight) when two women decided to go for a sleigh ride ON the hill.

They hit a tree. One of the two, a woman in her thirties, suffered fatal injuries. The other woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Surete du Quebec is investigating.
