Twenty-four year old man falls to his death
The death of a 24 year old man, found unconscious at the bottom of a cliff on Sunday morning in Saint-Denis-de-Brompton, in the Eastern Townships, was confirmed by the Sûreté du Québec mid-afternoon.
Saturday night, around 9:30, the relatives of the man had called emergency to report his disappearance. The young man went walking on trails near Lake Larouche, but never returned home. The search began Saturday night and a helicopter was dispatched. It was not until Sunday morning around 10am, Police found the missing man at the foot of a cliff measuring some 30 meters high.
He was transported to the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS), where his death was pronounced.
