There will be a youth court appearance today for two teenagers suspected in the abduction of a couple of seniors.

The boys were arrested on Saturday for their suspected involvement in the home invasion and kidnapping of a senior couple at their home in Maniwaki in the Outaouais region on Friday night.

"Both of these teenageers, one of them 16, the other one 17, actually they're detained, and will go in court today to face several charges," says Sureté du Quebec spokesperson Claude Denis.

Charges that may include breaking and entering, theft, and assault.

The suspects forced the seniors, a 70-year-old woman and 65-year-old man, out of their home at gunpoint and drove them to a barn in Pembroke, Ontario where they tied them up and took off with their car.

Police say the teens also stole the couple's wallet, money, and computer.

The victims were transported to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police are seeking a third suspect in the case.
