Parc Safari giraffe cited in concussion lawsuit
A Repentigny woman has filed a lawsuit against the Parc Safari zoo, saying she still suffers from headaches almost two years after she was attacked by a giraffe.
The woman is claiming $64,000 in damages after she sustained a concussion when a giraffe struck her with its neck.
She says she had been in a designated feeding-area and had turned to leave when the animal turned on her, hitting her on the back of the head.
She ended up in hospital and claims the lingering effects include recurring headaches and difficulty concentrating.
The owners of Parc Safari have denied responsibility and are refusing to comment.
