Five CEGEPs vote against ASSE strike

One of the more radical student groups at the heart of the red square movement is having trouble rallying support for its walk-out centered on the upcoming Summit on Education.

Five CEGEPs have voted against joining the ASSE strike, including the usually militant College de Valleyfield.   It was the first school to launch an unlimited strike against tuition hikes last spring.

Students at another activist school, the CEGEP de Vieux Montreal, have also voted not to take part in the ASSE walk-out.
