City begins snow removal tonight
The city says some boroughs will get in gear tonight, to start removal after this latest 17 centimetre snowfall.
Jacques-Alain Lavallée with the city says, it'll be all hands on deck, right through the weekend.
"Come Monday morning, when most Montrealers go back to work, the snow will have been cleared," Lavallée says.
As usual, main streets, and streets where schools and hospitals and metro stations are located, will be cleared first.
The city, once again, is calling on people to respect the no-parking signs, and to use its designated free-parking spaces that it designates every time there's a snow-clearing operation. Find a list of where those spaces are at the city's special snow-clearing website.
