Minister not hopeful about education summit
It seems Higher Education minister Pierre Duchesne doesn't have much hope for some sort of agreement at next week's education summit.
In an interview with La Presse, the minister appears to be lowering his expectations.
He says first and foremost he wants a dialogue with the hope of reaching a consensus, if not the government will make the ultimate decision.
The government says it plans to index tuition fees, while some students are pushing for free education.
The meeting takes place Monday and Tuesday in Little Burgundy.
Police say they're ready for any possible protests.
