Security very tight around summit
There is a huge police presence in and around the site where the education summit is taking place at the Arsenal on William St. in Griffintown.
Police are stationed at every entrance of the building, as well as circulating around the building on horses, bikes, and by foot.
Around 8 o'clock Monday morning, about an hour before the start of the discussions, a group of about 20 protesters marched down Notre-Dame st near the site. They were holding up a big red flag. Police followed them closely but there were no incidents.
A much bigger protest is planned for 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
