Montreal police are asking the public's help in locating a 51-year-old man who went missing last Friday afternoon.

Gilles Authier is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds, has graying brown hair, brown eyes.

He was last seen at the Louis H. Lafontaine psychiatric hospital in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district on Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.

He's said to have been weaing a three-quarter length purple coat, a gray tuque, a white and gray striped shirt, and drak pants and boots.

Police say he needs psychiatric help, and could possibly hurt himself, or others.

They also say he has no money, and might frequent places where homeless people congregate.

They're urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to phone them.
