There's been a huge explosion and fire at a motel and bar in Trois-Rivieres.

It happened at around the noon hour at the Turco motel and bar in the Cap-de-la-Madeleine district.

It's believed there were people inside the building, but right now, firefighters are still working on putting out a big, smoky fire.

The Turco complex has been in the news before. Last March, it had been raided by anti-drug officers as part of a larger operation aimed at bringing down a drug trafficking and pimping operation.
