Investigators with the Competition Bureau have searched the offices of a big Montreal engineering company that has done work for the city of Gatineau.

Investigators have been at Genivar's Gatineau offices since Thursday.

A company spokesperson is reported saying the bureau has been going over tenders with the city.

Recent contracts with the city of Gatineau include road as well as sewage infrastructure.

Corruption and collusion charges have been levelled against some Quebec cities in recent months in connection with the granting of contracts.
