East end police standoff ends with arrests
A police standoff in east end Saint Leonard is over.
Authorities say the SWAT team has arrested two suspects who barricaded themselves in an apartment building on Marechal-Ney after an armed robbery at a local pharmacy.
They add a cashier was threatened with a sharp object at the Pharmaprix outlet located on Jarry near Viau.
There had been some area evacuations.
Police spokesan Dany Richer says the two face armed robbery charges.
No injuries were reported.
