Raising awareness about violence against children
Marches were held in a number of Quebec cities Saturday to raise awareness about violence against children.
Demonstrators want tougher laws.
Among those taking part in the Drummondville march, Patrick Desautels.
His wife is facing charges in the deaths of her three children.
As well, Isabelle Gaston, whose two children were murdered by their doctor father Guy Turcotte, attended one of the marches
She said there should be zero tolerance when it comes to toward violence against children.
Turcotte was found not criminally responsible because of mental illness.
Other marches were held in Montreal, St Jerome, Laval and Sherbrooke.
