My older brother died from colorectal cancer at the age of 58, 7 years ago. Our father also had this cancer. He had 3 operations to try to correct it. I go for a colonoscopy every 2 and a half years without fail. I urge everyone over 50 to get checked out. The procedure is really simple. The preparation is a bit more difficult but worth it. As I also suffer from colitis it is imperative that I get chcked out often.
