Road rage murder trial begins
Jury selection took place today at the Montreal courthouse in the murder trial of a 28-year-old Laval man in connection with a case of apparent road rage just over two years ago.
Jeffrey Lindor's trial begins tomorrow morning on a charge of second degree murder.
Lindor is accused of mowing down another motorist following a fight between the two at the intersection of Laurier and 18th Avenue in the borough of Rosemont-La Petite Patrie in December 2010.
George De Castro, 42, died of his injuries in hospital.
Family members of both Lindor and De Castro were in court when the jury of ten men and two women was chosen.
Lindor is free on bail.
The trial is presided by Judge Réjean Paul. Lindor is represented by Clemente Monterosso and the crown prosecutor is Anne Aubé.
