Hijabs will be allowed for female players in Quebec.

The provincial soccer federation is following a move by the International Soccer Federation.

The local federation is allowing the head cover but with conditions.

It must not be attached to the player's top and has to be the same color as the jesery.

A female player was benched last summer because she was wearing a hijab during a game in the Outaouais, west of Montreal.
