Mayor Michael Applebaum's office has been obliged to repeat for the second time this week that the mayor has been told by UPAQ he is not under investigation for corruption.

A few days ago there was a report that a real estate rezoning case in Applebaum's borough was being probed. Now comes word from La Presse that a snow clearing payment in his borough in 2009 is also being checked by corruption investigators.

Two borough managers complained that a payment of nearly $100,000 was made to a snow contractor without the proper documentation.

Applebaum's office is denying both claims.
