A City of Montreal employee reportedly took his own life in the hours after he met with investigators from Operation Hammer.

The city confirms that an employee of the borough of Cote-des-Neiges/NDG died over the weekend, but in a communique says that out of respect for the family, it would comment further.

Robert Rousseau was head of the borough's division that handed out permits.
