Guy Turcotte`s ex brother-in-law happy with new hearing
Good news for the prosecution in the Guy Turcotte case.
The Quebec Court of Appeal will hear a challenge after the former Quebec cardiologist was cleared of criminal responsibility in the stabbing deaths of his two children in early 2009.
He was found not criminally responsible for reason of insanity in July, 2011.
"I feel slightly resassured, you know, I'm gonna wait for the procedure to go on, it gives me hope. I hope one day the victims is gonna be recognized in that crime. He got off on a mental insanity plea, so I'm not really in accordance with that verdict. I hope that they will find mistakes that happened in the firs trial and I hope for a new trial", the children's uncle, Patrick Gaston, told CJAD News.
The appeal will be heard September 30th.
