Good news for the prosecution in the Guy Turcotte case.

The Quebec Court of Appeal will hear a challenge after the former Quebec cardiologist was cleared of criminal responsibility in the stabbing deaths of his two children in early 2009.

He was found not criminally responsible for reason of insanity in July, 2011.

"I feel slightly resassured, you know, I'm gonna wait for the procedure to go on, it gives me hope. I hope one day the victims is gonna be recognized in that crime. He got off on a mental insanity plea, so I'm not really in accordance with that verdict. I hope that they will find mistakes that happened in the firs trial and I hope for a new trial", the children's uncle, Patrick Gaston, told CJAD News.

The appeal will be heard September 30th.

I'm so happy about this An evil killer who wanted revenge on his wife. Imagine the rage he had stabbing his children all those times while his son begged him to stop. I think he wanted to hurt her in the worst way possible and he got away with it. I wonder, if he wasn't a doctor would he be in jail now? A pure monster that should be back behind bars where he belongs for his lifetime. There is no hope for society if he wins again.

Let them get it right this time! These innocent children deserve justice! How can someone who stabbed his kids 46 times be free?! How could the jurors let him off knowing Olivier had choked on his own blood, and little Anne-Sophie had been so overwhelmed by pain she had pulled out fistfuls of her hair! There really is a huge problem with the "justice" system in this country!

Hopefully justice will be served for the taking of those little Angels lives.
That evil manipulative monster should be behind bars for the rest of his life.
