Laval police have opened an investigation into a sexual assault that happened some 15 years ago.

The weekly newspaper L'Écho de Laval reports that five current and former blue collar workers are suspected of sexually assaulting another worker in a city cafeteria in the Chomedy district.
The newspaper says the attack was seen by several other workers, but they were apparently threatened and intimidated into keeping quiet.

Last summer, one of the witnesses finally came forward.

Some of the suspects have since retired, but some are still working.
Investigators have interviewed 20-people but no charges have been laid.
