UPDATE: Montreal police say 9-year-old Charles-Antoine Brousseau-Leclerc has been found, safe and sound.

Montreal police are asking the public's help in locating a missing 9-year-old boy.

Charles-Antoine Brousseau-Leclerc was last seen this morning in the schoolyard of elementary school at the corner of Laval Ave. and Marie-Anne St. in the Plateau Mont-Royal district. He apparently never made it to class.

Police say he doesn't have an STM identification card, and isn't in the habit of disappearing without warning.

He's white, 5 feet tall, weighs 71 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a black tuque, a white and green jacket, black and green snow pants, a black backpack and beige pants.

Anyone who see him is being asked to call 9-1-1.
