New Toronto transit uniforms look like Habs jerseys: union
Toronto Transit employees are up in arms over a uniform design proposal that they say have a color scheme that looks too much like a Montreal Canadiens jersey.
Aside from not being very attractive to begin with.
The red and blue-striped shirts have caused some disturbance amongst the employees, so much so that a statement was released this afternoon by CEO Andy Byford.
In it, he assured staff that what they'd seen of the uniforms "is nothing more than a proposal," and that "some red is meant to reflect the TTC's traditional colour and that of the Canadian flag" adding that he has always favoured the professional look of a blue uniform, explaining the color choices.
