Turcot Interchange worksite halted
A worksite on two ramps in the Turcot Interchange has halted, due to a difference of opinion between the contractor, Tesco 3000 and the Transportation Ministry.
The contractor abandoned the site last Friday.
The ramps from the 20 east to the 15 south, as well as the 15 north to the 20 west are closed, and it's not clear when work will resume.
Work began on April 29th and was expected to finish by the beginning of December, according to the contractor.
In a conversation with CJAD, the company's president, Marcel Tessier, would not explain exactly what the problem is, nor would he speculate when work on the two ramps would resume.
Transport Quebec said it is looking into the matter.
Yesterday, we learned work on Highway 10 in Carignan was suspended due to a problem with Civ-bec of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
