It's official: Couillard to run in Roberval
Quebec Liberal Party leader Philippe Couillard has decided he will run as a candidate in the Roberval riding in the next election.
Couillard made it official at a news conference at the Saint-Félicien Zoo this morning.
Couillard is a resident of Saint-Felicien and says he wants to present himself as a candidate there because he loves the region and its people.
He had also said in the past that he believes an MNA should live in his riding.
Couillard says rising unemployment and a decline in the forestry sector are big issues in the riding.
