More than 1500 walk for a cause
The second leg of the 60 kilometre Pharmaprix weekend to end women's cancers is now underway.
Event co-ordinator and walker Siobhan O'Brien said she and others are grateful to the so many donors and walkers.
Supporters are4 also encouraged to show up today and cheer on the walkers.
"The second day is always a little tougher" said O'Brien. "The knees are a little sore, the feet are a little sore, so we certainly encourage people to come out and cheer on the walkers. "
"And they can get a list of where to do that at our website, endcancer.ca."
The walk began Saturday and expected to end around 3 Sunday afternoon.
More than 1500 walkers raised $3.1 million dollars.
In 9 years the weekend has raised over $52 million dollars for the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital.
