Plane turns around because of unruly passenger
Montreal police were called to Trudeau Airport in Dorval last evening, to meet an Air Transat plane that had taken off a short time before bound for Turkey.
The pilot decided to turn around because a passenger on board was behaving in a threatening manner. The 25-year old Toronto man refused to comply with the crew's orders and made threats.
Police spokesman Simon Delorme says it is not yet clear whether the passenger was joking, had suffered some kind of mental breakdown or actually intended to destroy the aircraft.
The plane landed without incident.
The man is expected to make a court appearance later today.
