Jacques-Cartier bridge work will mean lane closures
The Jacques-Cartier bridge will be repaved over the next three weekends, and that means lane closures.
Right through this long weekend, until Tuesday morning's rush hour, one lane will be closed on the bridge out of five, meaning two lanes will be open each way.
And for most of the next two weekends after that, September 6-7-8 and 13-14-15, there'll only be one lane available in each direction, and in addition, some access ramps to and from the south shore will be shut down at times.
If it rains on any of those weekends, however, the work could extend beyond mid-September.
Motorists are being urged to use any of the other south shore bridges, or make use of the metro's yellow line while the work goes on.
