Small aircraft lands on top of store in BC
RCMP say a male glider pilot is uninjured after his aircraft landed on the top of a convenience store in the Fraser Valley city of Langley, B.C.
The incident took place Sunday morning.
Local resident David Bushell says he heard what sounded like a load of lumber falling off a truck just before 10 a.m.
He says when he investigated he saw the glider on the roof of the grocery store, and one its wings appeared to be intact, but another appeared to be jutting upwards.
Bushell says the pilot was moving around and even took off the removable cover.
The Transportation Safety Board is assessing the incident.
