Blue Jays to play two games at Big O next spring: reports
Reports are suggesting the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Mets will play two pre-season exhibition games at Olympic Stadium next spring.
An official announcement to that effect is expected to come at a news conference on Tuesday.
The reports are suggesting the Olympic Installations Board and promoter Evenko are involved in advanced talks with the Jays about making it happen.
Back in 2011, Blue Jays president Paul Beeston floated the notion of the Jays playing some pre-season games at the former home of the Montreal Expos.
Baseball hasn't been played at the Big O since 2004, the Expos' last season before moving to Washington, D.C.
