Bishop's sued by injured football player
A young football player who suffered a severe head injury while playing for the varsity team at Bishop's University in the Eastern Townships is suing the school.
Kevin Kwasny says his coaches kept him in a game against Concordia knowing he was already dizzy from a hit. He suffered bleeding in his brain and then brain damage.
Two years later he is living in a rehab facility, still undergoing therapy to restore his mobility.
The university maintains the coaches did not know Kwasny was unfit to play.
He is seeking $7.5-million in damages.
