Public invited to inaugural flight of Bombardier C Series jet
Bombardier is running a little bit behind schedule with the ground testing of it's new C Series passenger jet but expects the inaugural flight to take place sometime next week.
The company began the ground tests last week, but there have been delays because of the weather.
However once the final results are in, members of the public will be invited to watch the inaugural flight up at Mirabel Airport.
The operators of the ICAR racetrack facilities at the airport for the event are going to turn the inaugural flight into an on site event.
Bombardier VIP's will be sitting in specially constructed grandstands at the airport, but members of the general public will be able to watch from the track nearby for a fee of $20 per car.
The only catch is the test will be conducted early in the morningand the announcement will only be made the morning of the flight.
Officials say it will happen in good weather.
Bombardier will also webcast the flight for people who can't be there.
