Food trucks here to stay through Nov. 3
Food trucks in Montreal were such a hit this summer, that they'll stay on the streets for a little while longer.
Right through November 3rd.
The association representing food truck operators requested, and got, permission from the city to have their season extended.
Eric Rice owner of the Roux food truck says they'll also be expanding their reach at the same time.
"There's usually nine spots, but they just opened two new spots — one on the corner of Rene-Levesque and Papineau, and another one in between Clark and St. Urbain on Ontario. We're happy to be put into the rotation in those two new spots."
The pilot project that brought food trucks to the streets of Montreal for the first time since the 1940s got started in late June, and was supposed to end in late September.
