Dorval teen pleads guilty in brother's shooting
A Dorval teenager has pleaded guilty to three charges tied to the shooting death of his 16-year-old brother in January — criminal negligence causing death, armed robbery, and robbery.
The boy, 12 years old at the time, was inside a bedroom when a gun went off, hitting the older boy in the head at close range.
A manslaughter charge against him was dropped.
The Crown had contended the same gun was used in an armed robbery at a depanneur on Jan. 2 prior to his brother's death.
Sentencing arguments are set to begin Sept. 23. He faces a maximum three-year sentence.
