Suspect in attacks on four women
A man picked up during a break-and-enter investigation on the Island of Montreal is now facing a raft of sex assault charges in South Shore Longueuil.
Investigators started looking into a link when they discovered the man had items of a sexual nature with him when he was arrested.
The 45-year old Varennes resident is suspected of attacks on four women in 2011. Three of those attacks took place near the Longueuil metro station and in two of those cases, the victim was tasered by their attacker.
The fourth woman was jumped as she jogged along the bicycle path in Boucherville.
The suspect will appear in Longueuil court later today to be arraigned on 24 charges including armed sexual assault.
