Dorval nursing home death ruled a homicide
Montreal police are now saying the death of an 82-year-old man in a Dorval nursing home last year is being treated as a homicide.
Police say the man was taken to hospital on Dec. 16, 2012 to be treated for unspecified injuries he sustained at the residence on Herron Rd. He died 12 days later, on Dec. 28.
"The analysis of the scene by investigators and the coroner lead us to believe there's a link between the injuries and the death," says Montreal police spokesperson Laurent Dyke.
He adds the case is now in the hands of the Major Crimes Unit, and wouldn't provide further details.
