Montreal police arrest SQ highway patroller: report
Quebec provincial police confirm one of their highway patrollers is suspended with pay, pending an investigation by Montreal police.
La Press reported Peter de Castris was arrested by the anti-corruption division of the Montreal police force.
Sources tell the French-language paper de Castris intimidated a former Beaconsfield director after a permit to install a specific type of siding on his home was denied.
Four suspects were released with a promise to appear in court. One of the men arrested, is a business associate of Michael Applebaum from back in the 1990s.
Montreal police will only confirm 4 suspects have been arrested with a promise to appear in court at a later date.
