Health minister rejects charter criticism
A former Quebec Health minister says patients would pay dearly because the proposed values charter, but the current minister says not true.
Yves Bolduc says doctors, nurses and new recruits will want to practice outside the province because the Marois government would create an unwelcome climate.
He also says the plan would also discourage many others from coming to Quebec.
Health minister Rejean Hebert disagrees, saying doctors who want to pratice in a religiously neutral state would be attracted by the plan.
The plans aims to ban the wearing of sizeable religious symbols by public employees.
