Other victims sought in loansharking operation
Longueuil police have arrested two men in connection with a loansharking operation and believe there could be more victims out there.
39-year old Terek Ibrahim and 38-year old Michael Polansky were accused of extortion and kidnapping after a man complained to police that he was held against his will when he fell behind in repayment of a loan.
Investigators believe other people may have been subjected to similar treatment after taking out loans will illegally high interest rates. The detectives can be contacted at 450 463-7211.
