Iranian-Canadian on death row released
An Iranian-Canadian on death row in Tehran has been released.
Antonella Mega of Toronto says she has spoken with her husband -- Hamid Ghassemi-Shall -- since his release, but doesn't know when he will leave Iran.
He'd been in prison since his arrest on an espionage charge in 2008, and a court had rejected his appeal of his 2009 death sentence.
Ghassemi-Shall moved here from Iran after that country's 1979 revolution, and had returned to visit family several times without incident before his arrest.
