Raelians: forget symbols, censor religious texts
The Council of Bishops of the Raelian Church is weighing in on the proposed Charter of Quebec Values.
The Raelian bishops say instead of targeting the wearing of religious symbols, the Charter should censor all religious texts that imply men are superior to women, that condemn homosexuality or that declare the superiority of one religion over another.
The Raelians say an independent international committee could determine which passages of the Bible, Koran and Torah should be censored.
Rael himself is promising to be the first religious leader to submit his writings to the censorship committee.
