School moves ped day to accomodate Muslims

Ecole Secondaire Evangeline in Ahuntsic-Cartierville knew that absenteeism would be high, given the number of Muslims attending the school, so it moved a ped day from last Friday to today.
The move was not welcomed by at least one mother, who is using it as an argument to support the proposed Quebec Charter of Values. She wondered aloud to a Journal de Montreal reporter whether eventually Christmas will be moved to accomodate Ramadan
