Laraque: I'm not worried by criminal charges
Former Montreal Canadiens enforcer Georges Laraque says he is not worried that he has now been criminally charged in connection with a business deal that went sour.
Laraque says he has nothing to hide and witnesses will help prove him innocent.
The 36-year old is facing five charges of theft and fraud in connection with a deal with a friend to distribute synthetic ice surfaces. The arrangement ended badly and the men ended up suing each other.
Laraque received a summons this week to appear in court in Longueuil November 19 in connection with the criminal charges.
