Horse drug being used for weight loss
Quebec's public health office has issued an alert about the use of a veterinary drug as a weight-loss aid.
Twenty Quebecers have required treatment in recent months for side effects related to clenbuterol, also known as the "size zero drug".
This medication is used to treat asthma in horses but in humans it fuels fat burning. Users buy it over the internet or from contacts they sometimes meet at the gym.
