Coderre promises better access to AMT stations
Denis Coderre and his team met commuters at the Pierrefonds-Roxboro train station Thursday morning, promising better access to the AMT stations.
Coderre's team said they went knocking on over 2000 doors and residents told them it was taking longer to get to the train station, then to get downtown.
“We can’t enough people, quick enough, to the train,” Pierrefonds-Roxboro mayoralty candidate Jim Beis, told CJAD.
“What we are looking at is creating assembly points through the borough that will have shuttle services with the STM to bring passengers to the train in the appropriate amount of time.”
Beis says if elected they'll also create more parking at the train stations and revamp the bike system so that commuters can cycle to the stations.
