Taxi-sharing service comes to Montreal
It's a Canadian first — a taxi-sharing service has been implemented in Montreal.
The service — an initiative of Jour de la Terre Québec — is similar to carpooling, but in a cab.
Dominique Roy with Diamond Taxi says it's good for the environment, and saves customers money.
"The savings will be between 40 and 50 per cent off the regular price when you share a cab."
The price of the cab runs are fixed in advance.
You can book a taxi-sharing ride on their web site, everyd.org.
