Quebec kicks in $19-mill for Pratt & Whitney upgrade
Aerospace giant Pratt & Whitney is upgrading its Longueuil facilities to the tune of $275-million over five years, and the Quebec government is kicking in $19-million of the costs.
The modernization includes so-called intelligent production lines featuring cutting-edge technology that'll also help reduce the company's carbon footprint.
The project will create 90 high-tech jobs and maintain 166 positions.
The work should be completed in 2015.
