"Winning against the country where the Games are taking place was a pretty special moment"

Fifth in Beijing

6/15/2012

On my day of competition in 2008, I had four matches.

First one was against Hungary. I won that match in two rounds.

Second match was against China. It went into three rounds, but I ended up winning that second match. Winning against the country where the Games are taking place was a pretty special moment.

My third match was against the Japanese wrestler who was a multiple world Champion and the gold Olympic medalist in 2004.

In my last match – the bronze medal final match, the American won the first round 1-0. In the third round it was 1-1, but she ended up winning because, in wrestling, who ever scores last wins the round. I missed the podium by 4 seconds.
