Nugent Dollard Soccer Team host the St.Thomas Strikers of Jamaica

The girls on the Nugent Dollard soccer team are hosting the St. Thomas Strikers of Jamaica, part of an ongoing humanitarian effort, to participate in organized events in the city, including several soccer games, a visit to the Montreal Children’s Hospital and an outing with the West Island Black Community Association. The timing of this initial exchange also coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Jamaican Independence.

The Jamaican Military Band will be playing for the opening ceremonies, which will begin on Sunday, August 12 at 4:00 pm at Glen McHugh Field in Dollard-des-Ormeaux and will be followed by a friendly match between the St. Thomas Strikers and the Nugent Dragons. Her Excellency Sheila Sealy Monteith and several other notable Jamaican dignitaries will also be present.  

Support the team, watch the games and there will be other entertainment, raffles and snacks.
