St-Pierre ready for his come back

UFC 154 is now just ten days away. It will feature welterweight champ George St-Pierre on one side of the cage, and interim champ Carlos Condit on the other.

It will be St-Pierre’s fight in 19 months, after suffering two knee injuries last year. St-Pierre spoke on a conference call today, and explained how he deals with the pressure of being the face of UFC

“I have always pressure. That's one of the reasons everyone is calling me out for fighting. They want to make money, they want to make pay-per-view. The importance for me is to take one fight at a time and focus on the present moment. And that's what i'm doing right now, i'm focusing on Carlos Condit.”

And while Condit realizes that Montreal fans will be in St-Pierre’s corner, he doesn’t mind being the underdog.

I would say that it’s definitely motivating. I like playing the role of the spoiler. There’s a lot of people in the sport, in the media who are overlooking me as an opponent for George and looking towards a superfight with Anderson (Silva) maybe. I don’t feel like George is overlooking me. But I’m excited to get in there do my thing and hopefully change a lot of plans”
