GSP wins his comeback fight
Georges St-Pierre is back where he belongs with the welterweight title his once more. The Montreal fighter beat interim champ Carlos Condit at the Bell Centre in a five-round decision to unify the welterweight belt at U-F-C 154.
St-Pierre was making his comeback from reconstructive knee surgery and hadn't fought since April 2011. Condit was a threat against St-Pierre especially in the third round when he connected with a head kick.
But G-S-P dominated on the ground with superior wrestling skills and controlled the contest. The judges awarded St-Pierre a near shutout decision to the raucous applause of the Bell Centre crowd.
St-Pierre's win may mean a super fight against middleweight champ Anderson Silva. The Brazilian says he wants to fight G-S-P, but St-Pierre says he needs to think about it.
